Desde hace más de dos meses en Guatemala muchas de las funciones del Registro Civil se trasladaron al Renap.
Antes el registro de nacimientos, defunciones, cambios de nombre, matrimonios, entre otros estaban a cargo del Registro Civil de cada una de las municipalidades del país. El mayor inconveniente es que habiendo más de 300 municipios era difícil obtener información sin tener varios datos exactos y saber al menos en que Municipalidad se había registrado el nacimiento o el matrimonio que se buscaba.
El Renap es una entidad nueva, estamos aún en transición y parece que será así por varios meses más.
Los atrasos son abrumadores y las certificaciones que antes solían salir de un día para otro, se tardan semanas, las operaciones simples, meses. Este es un ejemplo de experimentos, en lugar de identificar que está mal en un sistema, los legisladores simplemente “inventan” algo nuevo, que muchas veces resulta menos eficiente que el sistema original.
Como abogada, mis experiencias con gestiones en el Renap han sido negativas, largas esperas, la excusas de siempre: “Se fue el sistema”, “Estamos haciendo la base de datos”, “Está en firma”. No se puede hablar con alguien que tenga alguna responsabilidad o que pueda tomar una decisión, todo es culpa de alguien más o del “sistema”, así vemos que la administración se aleja cada vez más del usuario, quien no le queda más remedio que armarse de paciencia.
El Renap es relevante en la vida de todos, desde el nacimiento hasta la muerte, allí tenemos que parar registrados y mi recomenación es que si tienen que sacar alguna certificación, no lo dejen para última hora.

    Mi experiencia ha sido similar, de nada sirvio dos anos de espera en la entrada de vigencia de la ley, ya que las autoridades de nuevo demustran que la funcion publica en Guatemala esta condenada a la impericia del funcionario de turno, y desgraciadamente el RENAP no tiene el monopolio de la ineficinecia o excusa para la corrupcion.

    No hay recursos humanos capacitados, ya que la ineficiencia esta a la orden del dia,mas parece una plaga que inicio en el mes de enero y que en cuestion de siete mes ha contagiado a la mayoria de la administracion publica, y es lamentable ver como.abogado que estamos retrocediendo como era Guatemala hace 15 o mas anos.

    El REnap es otro elefante blanco que duplica la funcion publica, como lo son los ministerios, las secretarias, comisionados y al final del dia ya se perdio la cuenta de que tenia que hacer cada uno o todos hacen a medias lo del otro pero eso si nadie es responsable, y se escuhan las frases celebres de la mediocridad, venga manana, esta en firma, no hay sistema, tenemos mucho trabajo, nos hay fondos; pero como van alcanzar los fondos si el Gobierno en lugar de simiplificar la administracion publica se dedica a enredarla con mas leyes especiales y burocratas incapaces, que en la practica privada no tienen lugar por su propia ineptitud.

    fue a inscribir a mi niña los primeros diez dias de nacida (ya que necesitaba la inscripcion para el igss), y uno de los requisitos absurdos era que la madre se presentará, ¿Y para que? solo para verme, no firme nada, no me pidieron nada. RIDICULO NO……

    fui al renap de San Pedro Soloma y el ridiculo de registro civil de las personas no me acepto un memorial cuando era la obligacion del idiota registrar los nombres un niño segun el codigo civil pero mas idiota los jefes por darle un cargo a un idiota como el

    La verdad es que debe de haver algo LEGAL que se pueda hacer en contra del Renap. A mi me tiene ya casi 2 meses esperando mi DPI y la verdad me esta afectando muchisimo, y no solo a mi sino que a un gran numero de personas. Todo por la estupidez del congreso de pasar sus leyes estupidas. Pogan changos a cargo de funciones publicas y el pais se vuelve un circo.

    en renap de amatitlan deberia existir una persona especifica para dar informacion ya que es el agente de seguridad que prepotentemente cree brindar informacion indicando que afuera del edificio donde funciona esta institucion hay rotulos donde estan las respuestas de lo que se quiera consultar

    Tengo el problema de que los apellidos que existen en mi certificado de nacimiento no los legalizo el abogado ya que yo adquiri el apellido Leiva y en mi certificado aparezco con el apellido de nacimiento que es García, que hago no se que hacer. Por que en mi cedula de vecindad aparezco con los apellidos Leiva Mendoza y ahora tengo el problema a la hora de sacar mi DPI y no se en donde pueda buscar el registro en donde me cambian mi apellido. Alguien me puede ayudar, se los voy a agradecer!!!!!!!
